Jas Sangra JD

Barrister and Solicitor

“In tax law, form matters…If a taxpayer arranges his affairs in certain formal ways, enormous tax advantages can be obtained, even though the main reason for these arrangements may be to save tax […] If a taxpayer fails to take the correct formal steps, however, tax may have to be paid.” – The Honourable Justice Linden of the Federal Court of Appeal (Friedberg v R [1991] FCJ No 1255, at para 5)

Jas takes pride in providing constructive tax plans for his clients. He enjoys the complexity and detail-oriented nature of tax and takes a pragmatic approach to resolve his clients’ tax concerns. Before starting his legal career, Jas worked with two major Canadian financial institutions. His extensive financial, legal, and business knowledge benefits clients who are looking for innovative and efficient tax solutions. When he’s not in the office, Jas likes to venture outdoors where he enjoys hiking and trail running.
